About Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (DPS)
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (DPS) at Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU), Udaipur, was founded in 1991 to provide quality pharmacy education and research opportunities in southern Rajasthan. As a constituent department of MLSU, it is recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and AICTE, ensuring its programs meet national standards.
DPS offers Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in specializations such as Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Pharmacognosy, along with Ph.D. programs. Admissions are conducted through RUHS/University norms and national entrance exams.
The department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, a central library, computer centers, and research facilities. It emphasizes drug discovery, pharmaceutical technology, clinical research, and herbal medicine studies, with faculty actively engaged in research projects and publications.
With its strong academic foundation, research orientation, and industry linkages, the DPS at MLSU Udaipur has become a leading center for pharmaceutical education and innovation in Rajasthan.
