About Government Medical College
Established in 2021, Government Medical College, Alwar is a state-run institution dedicated to medical education and healthcare training in Rajasthan. Operated under the Department of Medical Education, Government of Rajasthan, the college is affiliated with Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS), Jaipur and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The college offers the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program with an annual intake of 100 students, selected through NEET UG and state-level counseling. Located in the MIA (Industrial Area) of Alwar, the campus spans over 30 acres, featuring a fully functional teaching hospital, modern lecture halls, clinical and pre-clinical laboratories, a central library, and hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The hospital includes departments like General Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, and Obstetrics & Gynecology, providing students with hands-on clinical exposure.
