About Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT)
The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Kota, founded in 2013, is one of the 20 IIITs established across India to strengthen education and research in Information Technology and allied fields. Declared an Institute of National Importance, IIIT Kota functions under a PPP model involving the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the Government of Rajasthan, and industry partners.
Initially mentored by MNIT Jaipur, IIIT Kota now operates from its permanent campus in Ranpur, Kota, which spans 100.37 acres. The institute offers B.Tech programs in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), along with Ph.D. programs in IT and related disciplines. Admissions are conducted through JEE Main (for B.Tech) and GATE/UGC norms (for Ph.D.).
The campus features modern classrooms, computer labs, research centers, hostels, sports facilities, and innovation hubs. IIIT Kota emphasizes industry collaboration, entrepreneurship, and cutting-edge research, preparing students for careers in IT, software development, electronics, and academia.
