About Indian Institute of Information Technology
Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Sonepat, established in 2014, is a premier national institute of higher education in Information Technology located in Sonipat, Haryana. It was set up under the Public–Private Partnership (PPP) model by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, in collaboration with the Government of Haryana and industry partners. IIIT Sonepat is currently functioning as an Institute of National Importance (INI) and is mentored by NIT Kurukshetra.
The institute offers B.Tech programs in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Information Technology (IT), along with opportunities for M.Tech and Ph.D. research. Admissions are conducted through JEE Main and JoSAA/CSAB counseling, ensuring national-level competitiveness. The campus at Sonipat provides modern classrooms, computer labs, central library, hostels, and sports facilities, with strong emphasis on coding culture, innovation, and industry exposure.
