About Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology
The Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition (IHM), Kurukshetra, founded in 2008, is one of the leading government IHMs in Haryana. Established under the joint sponsorship of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and the Department of Tourism, Government of Haryana, the institute is affiliated with NCHMCT, Noida, and academically partnered with IGNOU for degree programs.
IHM Kurukshetra offers the flagship B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration (HHA), jointly awarded by NCHMCT and IGNOU. In addition, it provides Diploma programs in Food Production and Food & Beverage Service, designed to impart practical skills for careers in hotels, restaurants, airlines, cruise lines, and catering services. Admissions to the B.Sc. program are conducted through the national-level NCHM JEE exam, while diploma courses admit students based on 12th pass eligibility with English as a subject.The campus at Jyotisar, Kurukshetra, is equipped with training kitchens, bakery units, front office labs, housekeeping labs, computer centers, library, and hostels. Students gain hands-on exposure through industrial training, internships, and workshops, ensuring industry readiness.
