Punjab Engineering College (PEC), located in Sector 12, Chandigarh, is one of the oldest and most prestigious engineering institutions in India. Established in 1921 as Mughalpura Engineering College in Lahore, it was later shifted to Chandigarh after Partition and renamed Punjab Engineering College. In 2003, it was granted the status of a deemed university, recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
PEC offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various engineering disciplines including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Aerospace, and Metallurgical Engineering, along with programs in applied sciences and management.
