ADYPU was founded in 2015 under the Government of Maharashtra Act by Dr. D.Y. Patil, a Padmashree awardee. It is recognized by UGC and accredited by NBA and NAAC (Grade A). The university comprises nine schools, including Management, Information Technology, Design, Hotel Management, Engineering, Law, and Liberal Arts. Admissions are conducted through national/state-level entrance exams such as MAH CET, NATA, JEE Main, CAT, and university-specific tests, depending on the program. Eligibility criteria vary (10+2 for UG, graduation for PG). The admission process is online, with counseling and interviews for select programs. Fees range from ₹1.5–₹3.5 lakh per year for UG programs and ₹2–₹4 lakh per year for PG programs, depending on specialization.
