Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, located at Amritanagar, P.O. Ettimadai in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, is a deemed-to-be university established in 1994 with its beginnings as a School of Engineering. It was conferred university status in 2003, making it one of the youngest institutions at the time to achieve this recognition. Today, Amrita has expanded into a multi-campus, multidisciplinary institution with ten campuses across six states in India, serving over 12,000 students and supported by nearly 1,500 faculty members.
