About Anna University
Anna University, located on Sardar Patel Road in Guindy, Chennai, is one of India’s most prestigious public state universities, established on 4 September 1978. Named after former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. N. Annadurai, it has grown into a leading institution for higher education in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, and Applied Sciences. The main campus in Guindy spans about 185 acres and is urban in character, housing several constituent colleges including the College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG), Alagappa College of Technology (ACT), Madras Institute of Technology (MIT), and the School of Architecture and Planning (SAP).
