Atal Bihari Vajpayee Skill University (ABVSU), located on Kazi Road in Vishal Gaon, Gangtok, Sikkim, is a newly established skill-focused university created by the Sikkim State Legislature in 2025. It was officially recognized through the Sikkim Gazette (Act No. 13 of 2025) and is set up as a futuristic model institution dedicated to skill-based, vocational, and industry-integrated education. The university is recognized under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, and aims to become a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). ABVSU offers a wide range of programs including B.Sc, BCA, B.Tech, Diploma, MBA, MCA, and MA, with a strong emphasis on practical training, industry collaboration, and technology-enabled learning.
