About Atal Medical and Research University
Atal Medical and Research University (AMRU), formerly known as Himachal Pradesh University of Health Sciences, was established in 2017 and is located at the SLBS Medical College & Hospital Campus, Ner Chowk, District Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. It is a state government university, constituted by the Government of Himachal Pradesh to regulate and promote quality education in medical and health sciences. The university is recognized by the UGC and functions in coordination with statutory councils such as NMC (formerly MCI), INC, PCI, DCI, and other health regulatory bodies, through its affiliated institutions.
