Azim Premji University, established in 2010, is a private not-for-profit university founded by Azim Premji, Chairman of Wipro Limited, through the Azim Premji Foundation, located at Survey No. 66, Burugunte Village, Bikkanahalli Main Road, Sarjapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka. Recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) and Section 12(B), and accredited by NAAC with an 'A++' Grade, the university is dedicated to the cause of equitable and sustainable development in India, with a special focus on education, social sciences, and public policy. Azim Premji University, Bengaluru, was established in 2010 by the Azim Premji Foundation and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is a not-for-profit private university with a mission to promote education, development, and social change. The university offers undergraduate programs (BA, B.Sc, B.Ed), postgraduate programs (MA in Education, Development, Public Policy, Economics, and Law & Development), and doctoral programs. Admissions are conducted through CUET UG/PG, SAT, and the university’s own entrance test, followed by personal interviews. Eligibility requires 10+2 for UG programs, graduation in relevant fields for PG programs, and a master’s degree for doctoral studies. Fees are highly affordable compared to other private universities, with UG programs costing around ₹75,000–₹1 lakh per year and PG programs between ₹1–1.5 lakh per year, making it accessible to students from diverse backgrounds.
