About Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University

Established in 1960 (originally founded as Bihar University in 1952 and bifurcated in 1960, renamed to BRABU in 1992), Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU) is a prestigious public state university located at Kalambagh Road, Musahri, Muzaffarpur, Bihar, founded by the Government of Bihar. Recognized as the second university in Bihar and one of the fifteen oldest universities in Independent India, BRABU operates with UGC recognition, is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and holds NAAC 'B' Grade accreditation. The university also has approvals from AICTE, NCTE, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP). With 77 permanently affiliated colleges and 39 constituent colleges spread across North Bihar, BRABU offers 88+ comprehensive programs including B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., BBA, BCA, B.Tech (through affiliated engineering colleges), MBA, MCA, M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., B.Ed., LLB, BA LLB, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BPT, B.Pharma, B.Sc.
