Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow was formally established on 10 January 1996 as a Central University under the Government of India. Named after Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, the university was created to promote higher education among marginalized communities and to advance research in diverse fields. Located at Vidya Vihar, Rae Bareli Road, Lucknow, the campus spans 250 acres and is recognized by the UGC, accredited with NAAC A++, and affiliated with professional councils such as PCI and BCI. BBAU offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs across disciplines including Humanities, Law, Pharmacy, Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Education, and Management.
