Banasthali Vidyapith, established in 1935 by freedom fighters Pandit Hiralal Shastri and Smt. Ratan Shastri in memory of their daughter Shantabai, is India's premier fully-residential women's deemed university located in Tonk district (80 km from Jaipur), Rajasthan. Declared a deemed university in 1983, it is recognized by UGC, holds NAAC A++ accreditation, and is approved by AICTE, BCI, PCI, and NCTE. The university earned NIRF ranking 101-150 (Universities 2024), 68 (Engineering 2024), 22 (Pharmacy 2025), and QS Asia ranking 501-550 (2023), establishing its position among India's top women's universities.
