Banda University of Agriculture and Technology (BUAT), Banda, Uttar Pradesh was established on 2 March 2010 under the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture University Act (Amendment) 1958 Gazette-Adhiniyam 2010. Initially named Manyawar Shri Kanshiram Ji University of Agriculture and Technology, it was later renamed BUAT in 2014. The university holds the distinction of being the first agricultural university in the Bundelkhand region, created to strengthen agricultural education, research, and extension services in this part of the state. It is officially recognized by the UGC and functions as a state public university. BUAT offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in disciplines such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, and Agricultural Engineering.
