Bengaluru City University (BCU), established in 2017, is a state government university located at Rukmini Knowledge Park, Kattigenahalli, Yelahanka, Bengaluru, Karnataka. Founded by the Government of Karnataka through the bifurcation of Bangalore University to better serve the urban areas of Bengaluru, the university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) and Section 12(B). BCU serves as an affiliating university for over 200+ colleges across Bengaluru city, offering diverse academic programs in arts, science, commerce, management, law, education, and professional courses.
