Bengaluru North University (BNU), established in 2017, is a state government university located at Devaraj Urs Extension, Tamaka, Kolar, Karnataka. Founded by the Government of Karnataka through the bifurcation of Bangalore University to cater to the educational needs of North Bangalore and surrounding regions, the university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f). BNU serves as an affiliating university for over 150+ colleges across Bengaluru Rural, Kolar, and Chikkaballapura districts, offering a wide range of academic programs in arts, science, commerce, management, education, law, and professional courses.
