BTU was established in 2017 by the Government of Rajasthan under the Bikaner Technical University Act. It affiliates more than 40 engineering and management colleges in districts like Bikaner, Jodhpur, Nagaur, and Sikar. The university offers B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, and Ph.D. programs. Admissions are conducted through REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process) and national-level exams like JEE Main, GATE, and CMAT. Eligibility requires 10+2 with PCM for engineering and relevant degrees for PG programs. Fees are affordable, with B.Tech programs averaging ₹40,000–₹60,000 per year, making them accessible to students across Rajasthan.
