Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University (BBMKU), established in 2017, is a government university located on Government Polytechnic Road, Dhanbad, Jharkhand. BBMKU was established in 2017 by the Government of Jharkhand, headquartered in Dhanbad. It affiliates more than 40 colleges in Dhanbad and Bokaro districts. The university offers BA, B.Sc., B.Com, BBA, BCA, MA, M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MCA, LLB, and Ph.D. programs. Admissions are primarily merit-based, with entrance exams applicable for professional courses like MBA, MCA, and law. Eligibility requires 10+2 for UG programs and relevant degrees for PG courses. The admission process is conducted online, followed by counseling and document verification. Fees are affordable, with UG programs averaging ₹10,000–₹15,000 per year, making higher education accessible to students from diverse backgrounds.
