Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar, Assam, established in 2006 under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, is a premier government technical institute located at Balagaon, Kokrajhar (BTAD). Recognized under Section-III of the UGC Act, CIT Kokrajhar is dedicated to advancing technical education and research in the Bodoland Territorial Region.

CIT Kokrajhar was founded in 2006 as an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Education. It is affiliated as a Deemed-to-be University and approved by both UGC and AICTE, ensuring national-level recognition. The institute’s flagship programs include B.Tech, B.Des, M.Tech, M.Des, and Ph.D. Admissions are conducted through national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main for B.Tech and institute-level entrance tests for diploma and design courses.
