Central University of Jharkhand, situated at Cheri Manatu village, Kamre, Brambe in Ranchi, Jharkhand, was established in 2009 by the Government of India under the Central Universities Act. As a government institution, it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and offers a wide range of academic programs across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. Admissions Open 2026: Courses, Eligibility & Fees
The Central University of Jharkhand was founded under the Central Universities Act, 2009, and is affiliated with the Government of India. It is recognized by the UGC and offers a wide range of integrated UG-PG programs, B.Tech, MBA, M.Sc, MA, and Ph.D. courses. Admissions are conducted through CUET (UG & PG) and JEE Main for engineering programs. Eligibility varies by course, with merit and entrance exam scores being the primary criteria. The admission process is fully online via the Samarth portal, followed by counseling and document verification. Fee structures are moderate compared to private universities, making CUJ an attractive option for students seeking affordable quality education.

CUJ operates from its permanent campus at Cheri-Manatu (510 acres) and a temporary campus at Brambe (45 acres). Hostel facilities accommodate around 1,000 students with separate wings for boys and girls.
