About Chandigarh University

Chandigarh University, Unnao (Uttar Pradesh) was inaugurated on 26 July 2025 by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as India’s first AI-augmented multidisciplinary university. Originally established in 2012 at Mohali, Punjab, Chandigarh University has expanded its footprint to Uttar Pradesh with this new campus located on the Lucknow–Kanpur Highway (NH-27), Unnao, within the State Capital Region. The Uttar Pradesh government formally approved the project in September 2024, granting authorization for the establishment of a world-class futuristic campus. The Unnao campus is envisioned to offer 45 advanced courses starting from the 2025–26 academic session, integrating artificial intelligence, smart classrooms, and experiential learning models. The university emphasizes multidisciplinary education, global collaborations, and industry readiness, aligning with its reputation as one of India’s leading private universities. Ranked as India’s No. 1 private university in the QS World University Rankings 2026, Chandigarh University has designed the Unnao campus to foster sustainability, innovation, and leadership development.
