Chandigarh University (CU), located on NH-95 Chandigarh–Ludhiana Highway at Gharuan in Mohali, Punjab, is a private research university established in 2012 by an Act of the Punjab State Legislature. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and AICTE, accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC, and is the first private university in India to earn ABET accreditation for the highest number of engineering programs. CU has also been ranked India’s No. 1 private university for three consecutive years in the QS Asia Rankings, highlighting its global academic reputation.
