Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology (CSAUA&T), Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh is a state agricultural university established in 1975. It was formed by merging the Government Agriculture College, Kanpur (established in 1906) and the U.P. College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Mathura. The institution traces its roots back to 1893, when a small school was started to train revenue officers, gradually evolving into a premier centre for agricultural education and research. Named after the revolutionary Chandra Shekhar Azad, the university is recognized by the UGC, affiliated with ICAR, and accredited with a NAAC B+ grade.
