About
Charotar University of Science & Technology (CHARUSAT), established in 2009, is a private university located off the Nadiad–Petlad Highway Road at Changa, Gujarat. Recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), CHARUSAT is promoted by the Charotar Vidya Mandal and is known for its strong emphasis on science, technology, healthcare, and management education. The university has earned a reputation for academic excellence, research, and community service in central Gujarat.
CHARUSAT offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs across disciplines such as engineering, computer applications, pharmacy, physiotherapy, nursing, management, applied sciences, and medical sciences. Patel Institute of Technology, Ramanbhai Patel College of Pharmacy, Ashok & Rita Patel Institute of Physiotherapy, Manikaka Topawala Institute of Nursing, and Indukaka Ipcowala Institute of Management, among others. CHARUSAT was established in 2000 by the Shri Charotar Moti Sattavis Patidar Kelavani Mandal and became a full-fledged university in 2009 under UGC recognition. It offers UG, PG, diploma, and Ph.D. programs through nine institutes and six faculties. Popular courses include B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Sc Nursing, MBA, MCA, and Ph.D. Admissions are conducted via national and state-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, GUJCET, GATE, GPAT, CMAT, and NET, along with merit-based selection for certain programs. Eligibility requires 10+2 with 50–60% marks for UG programs, graduation with 50% marks for PG programs, and postgraduation with 55% marks for Ph.D.. Fees are moderate, with B.Tech costing around ₹1.2–1.6 lakhs annually, MBA ₹2–3 lakhs annually, and pharmacy/nursing programs around ₹1–1.5 lakhs annually.
