Davangere University, established in 2009, is a state government university located at Shivagangotri, Davangere, Karnataka - 577002. Founded by the Government of Karnataka through the bifurcation of Kuvempu University to cater to the educational needs of the Bayaluseeme region of Central Karnataka, the university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) and Section 12(B), and accredited by NAAC with 'B+' Grade. Davangere University serves as an affiliating body for over 200+ colleges across Davangere, Chitradurga, and Shimoga districts, while also offering postgraduate and research programs directly from its campus.
