Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT), Gandhinagar, established in 2001, is a private, deemed university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is not officially renamed as “Dhirubhai Ambani University”; the institution continues to operate under the name DA-IICT. Known for its specialization in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), computer science, electronics, and allied fields, it is one of India’s premier institutes for technology education and research. DA-IICT offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in ICT, computer science, data science, electronics, computational science, and allied disciplines. Dhirubhai Ambani University was founded in 2001 as DA-IICT and later renamed DAU. It is a state private university recognized by the UGC and approved by AICTE. The university offers B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, M.Des, and Ph.D. programs in ICT, Computer Science, AI, Electronics & Communication, and Design. Admissions are conducted through JEE Main or GUJCET (for B.Tech), GATE (for M.Tech), CEED (for M.Des), and GATE/NET (for Ph.D.). Eligibility requires 10+2 with PCM for UG programs, graduation in relevant fields for PG programs, and a master’s degree for doctoral studies. Fees are competitive, with B.Tech programs costing around ₹1.5–₹2 lakh annually and PG programs between ₹1–1.8 lakh per year.

The DAU campus in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, spans 50 acres and is fully Wi-Fi enabled.
