Bengaluru Dr. B. R. Ambedkar School of Economics University (BASE University), established in 2017, is a state government university located at Jnanabharti Main Road, Nagarabhavi, Bengaluru, Karnataka. Founded by the Government of Karnataka and named in honor of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution and a pioneering economist, the university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f). BASE University is a specialized institution focused on economics, social sciences, and allied disciplines, with a unique mandate to promote research-driven education, policy analysis, and evidence-based solutions to contemporary economic and social challenges. The university also conducts certificate and diploma programs in data analytics, econometrics, and development studies. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar School of Economics University (BASE University), Bangalore, was established in 2017 by the Government of Karnataka and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is a specialized public university focusing on Economics, Data Science, and Social Sciences, modeled on the lines of the London School of Economics. The university offers five-year integrated M.Sc in Economics, two-year M.Sc in Economics, and Ph.D. programs. Admissions are conducted through CUET UG/PG, state-level entrance exams, and merit-based selection.
