Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU), established in 1958, is a state government university located at University Campus, near Soneri Mahal, Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Founded by the Government of Maharashtra, BAMU is recognized by the UGC, approved by AICTE, and accredited with NAAC ‘A+’ grade. Founded in 1958 as Marathwada University and renamed in honor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in 1994, BAMU is a UGC-recognized public university with NAAC ‘A’ accreditation. It offers programs such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BCA, LLB, MA, M.Sc, M.Com, MBA, MCA, M.Phil, and Ph.D.. Admissions are conducted through state-level entrance exams like MH-CET for MBA/MCA, MHT-CET for engineering, and merit-based selection for general UG/PG programs. Eligibility requires 10+2 with 50% marks for UG programs, graduation with 50% marks for PG programs, and postgraduation with 55% marks for Ph.D.. Fees are affordable, with UG programs costing around ₹5,000–₹10,000 annually and PG programs around ₹10,000–₹20,000 annually, making higher education accessible to students across Maharashtra.
