Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University (RPNLU), Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh is the newest National Law University (NLU) in India, established in 2024. It is the second NLU in Uttar Pradesh, after Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU), Lucknow. The university is recognized by the UGC and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court serves as its Chancellor, while the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh is the Chairperson. Located at Gaddopur, Phaphamau, Prayagraj, RPNLU has a residential campus designed to provide world-class legal education. The university offers a five-year integrated BA LL.B. (Hons.) program, focusing on both theoretical and practical legal training. It also conducts Ph.D. programs in Law, with admissions through CLAT (Common Law Admission Test). RPNLU emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, ethical values, and global collaborations. It has already signed MoUs with BRICS Law School and the University of Pretoria, South Africa, reflecting its international outlook. The university also publishes the RPNLU Law Review, encouraging research and academic discourse.
