MIT-WPU was founded in 1983 as part of the MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions and later evolved into MIT World Peace University. It is recognized by the UGC and approved by statutory bodies such as AICTE, PCI, BCI, and DSIR. The university offers UG, PG, diploma, and Ph.D. programs in disciplines including Engineering, Management, Law, Pharmacy, Design, Computer Applications, and Sciences. Admissions are conducted through JEE Main, MHT-CET, PERA CET, NEET (Bioengineering), and MIT-WPU CET, depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 with 50% marks for UG programs, graduation with 50% marks for PG programs, and postgraduation with 55% marks for Ph.D.. Fees vary by program, with B.Tech costing around ₹2–3 lakhs annually and MBA around ₹3–4 lakhs annually.
