Durga Soren University was established in 2023 as a state private university in Deoghar, Jharkhand. It is recognized by the UGC and offers 24 degrees across 94 courses including B.Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Sc Nursing, B.Com, BA (Hons.), MBA, MCA, M.Sc, M.A., M.Ed, M.Phil, and Ph.D.. Admissions are primarily merit-based, determined by marks in qualifying examinations, though some professional programs may consider national/state-level entrance scores. Eligibility requires 10+2 with 50% marks for UG programs, graduation with 50% marks for PG programs, and postgraduation with 55% marks for Ph.D.. Fees are affordable, with B.Tech around ₹47,500 annually, MBA ₹60,000 annually, B.Sc Nursing ₹5.5 lakhs for the full course, and Ph.D. programs around ₹3.35 lakhs.
