Fakir Mohan University, located at Vyas Vihar in Nuapadhi, Balasore, Odisha, is a public state university established in 1999 by the Government of Odisha. Named after the legendary Odia novelist Fakir Mohan Senapati, the institution was created to expand higher education opportunities in northern Odisha and to promote Odia language, literature, and culture. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by NAAC.
