Gangadhar Meher University, located at Amruta Vihar in Sambalpur, Odisha, is a public state university established in 2015 by the Government of Odisha. It was upgraded from the historic Gangadhar Meher College, which had been founded in 1944 and named after the renowned Odia poet Gangadhar Meher. The transition into a full-fledged university marked a significant milestone in expanding higher education opportunities in western Odisha.
The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs across disciplines such as Arts, Science, Commerce, and Social Sciences.
