Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE), established on 6 June 1930, is one of India’s oldest and most prestigious research and training institutes in economics. Located at 846 Shivajinagar, BMCC Road, Pune, it was founded by R. R. Kale with an endowment to the Servants of India Society in memory of social reformer Gopal Krishna Gokhale.
GIPE is a deemed university, recognized by the UGC and accredited with NAAC ‘A’ grade. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, with flagship courses in M.Sc. Economics, Financial Economics, Agribusiness Economics, International Business Economics & Finance, and Public Policy.
