Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), located on G.T. Road in Amritsar, Punjab, is a public university established in 1969 to commemorate the 500th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has been conferred Category-I University status by the UGC, making it the only university in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh with this distinction. GNDU is accredited by NAAC with an A++ grade and an exceptional CGPA of 3.85/4.00, one of the highest ratings awarded in India.
The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs across disciplines such as Sciences, Humanities, Commerce, Law, Engineering, and Sports. The university offers a wide range of programs including Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, Education, and Doctoral research. Admissions are conducted through CUET UG/PG, JEE Main, NEET, CAT, CLAT, and university-level entrance exams depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 with relevant subjects for undergraduate courses and graduation in relevant disciplines for postgraduate programs.
