Hassan University (formerly University of Agricultural Sciences, Hassan), established as an independent university in 2023, is a state government university located at Hemagangothri Campus, Hassan, Karnataka. Founded by the Government of Karnataka through the bifurcation of Kuvempu University to serve the educational needs of Malnad and Southern Karnataka regions, the university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) and Section 12(B).
