The Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), located at Nehru Nagar in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, is a premier national-level institute established in 1982 under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. It was created with the support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and is recognized for its specialized focus on forest management, environment, and sustainable development. IIFM offers postgraduate, doctoral, and certificate programs in areas such as Forest Management, Sustainability, Environmental Policy, and Natural Resource Management. Its flagship program, the Post Graduate Diploma in Forest Management (PGDFM), is highly regarded and equivalent to an MBA, preparing professionals for leadership roles in forestry, environment, and development sectors. The Bhopal campus is spread across 65 hectares of lush greenery and is equipped with modern infrastructure including academic blocks, hostels, a library, computer centers, and research facilities.
