Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), established in 2013 by the Government of NCT of Delhi, is a state university located at Kashmere Gate, New Delhi. Recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by AICTE, the university is dedicated exclusively to women’s education in engineering, technology, applied sciences, and management, making it one of the few specialized technical universities for women in India. Admissions Open 2026: Courses, Eligibility & Fees

Established in 1998 and upgraded to a state university in 2013, the Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Delhi is affiliated with the Government of Delhi and approved by the UGC and AICTE. It is India’s first technical university exclusively for women, offering popular courses such as B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, MBA, and Ph.D. programs. Admissions to B.Tech are conducted through JEE Main ranks under JAC Delhi counseling, while M.Tech requires GATE scores and MBA admissions are based on CAT/MAT/CMAT scores. Ph.D. admissions are through university entrance exams and interviews. The admission process includes online application, entrance exam scores, counseling, and seat allotment, with fees kept affordable—B.Tech programs cost around ₹1.2–1.5 lakhs per year, making IGDTUW a competitive choice for women in STEM.
