Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University (JGND PSOU), located at C/28 Lower Mall in Patiala, Punjab, is a state open university established in 2019 by the Government of Punjab under The Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University Act, 2019. It was founded to commemorate the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and to expand access to higher education through open and distance learning. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is dedicated to providing flexible, affordable, and inclusive education opportunities.
JGND PSOU offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate programs across disciplines such as Arts, Commerce, Management, Computer Applications, Education, and Social Sciences. Admissions Open 2026: Courses, Eligibility & Fees
Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University, Patiala, was established in 2021 by the Government of Punjab and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is a state open university dedicated to providing flexible, affordable, and accessible education through distance and online learning modes. The university offers programs in Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer Applications, Management, Education, and Vocational Studies at undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate levels.
