Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), established in 1989, is a premier autonomous research institution founded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, located at Jakkur, Rachenahalli Lake Road, Bengaluru, Karnataka. Granted deemed-to-be university status in recognition of its outstanding research contributions, JNCASR is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 3 of the UGC Act and accredited by NAAC with an 'A++' Grade. Named in honor of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first Prime Minister and science advocate, JNCASR is dedicated to fundamental and applied research in frontier areas of science and engineering.
