About
JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad (popularly known as YMCA UST), founded in 1969, is one of Haryana’s premier government universities for engineering, science, and management education. Originally established as an Indo-German project, it was upgraded to a full-fledged state university in 2009 and renamed in honor of scientist Jagadish Chandra Bose.
The university is UGC-recognized, NAAC-accredited (‘A’ grade), and approved by AICTE. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in Engineering, Computer Applications, Management, Sciences, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
The campus in Faridabad spans 20 acres, featuring modern classrooms, advanced laboratories, innovation centers, a central library, hostels, and sports complexes. YMCA emphasizes research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry collaboration, with strong placement records in IT, core engineering, consulting, and government services.

JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, was established in 1969 as an institute and upgraded to a state university in 2009. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by AICTE. The university offers programs in Engineering, Computer Applications, Management, Sciences, Humanities, and Social Sciences at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. Admissions are conducted through JEE Main (for B.Tech), HSTES counseling, GATE (for M.Tech), CAT/MAT/XAT (for MBA), CUET UG/PG, and merit-based selection depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry for UG engineering programs and graduation in relevant disciplines for PG programs. Fee highlights show that UG programs cost between ₹40,000–₹70,000 per year, while PG programs range between ₹50,000–₹90,000 per year, making YMCA one of the most affordable technical universities in Haryana.

JC Bose University provides financial support through government scholarships (SC/ST/OBC, minority, EWS) and institutional merit-based concessions. Fee waivers are extended to economically weaker sections, while merit scholarships are awarded to top-performing students in JEE Main, CUET, CAT, and board exams. Special scholarships are also available for girls, differently-abled students, and achievers in sports or cultural activities. On average, 30–35% of students benefit from scholarships or financial assistance annually, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
