Admissions Open 2026: Courses, Eligibility & Fees
Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University (JRSU), Ranchi, was established in 2016 by the Government of Jharkhand and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is India’s first specialized university dedicated to Police Science, Internal Security, and Law Enforcement Studies. The university offers programs in Police Administration, Criminology, Cyber Security, Forensic Science, Law, and Management at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. Admissions are conducted through CUET UG/PG, CLAT (for Law), and merit-based selection depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 with relevant subjects for UG courses and graduation in relevant disciplines for PG programs. Fee highlights show that UG programs cost between ₹25,000–₹50,000 per year, while PG programs range between ₹30,000–₹70,000 per year, making JRSU one of the most affordable specialized universities in India.

JRSU provides financial support through government scholarships (SC/ST/OBC, minority, EWS) and institutional merit-based concessions. Fee waivers are extended to economically weaker sections, while merit scholarships are awarded to top-performing students in CUET, CLAT, and board exams. Special scholarships are also available for girls, differently-abled students, and achievers in sports or NCC/NSS activities.
