It offers academic programs from kindergarten to postgraduate and doctoral levels, integrating formal education with vocational training, sports, and cultural preservation. The university emphasizes the empowerment of tribal communities, focusing on eradicating hunger, poverty, and illiteracy while preserving the diverse tribal languages and traditions of Odisha and beyond. The Bhubaneswar campus is equipped with modern infrastructure including classrooms, libraries, hostels, sports facilities, and cultural centers. KISS also has international recognition, holding Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), which highlights its global contribution to education and social development.
