Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University (KSAWU), formerly known as Karnataka State Women’s University, was established in 2003 by the Government of Karnataka. Located at Jnanashakthi Campus, Athani Road, Toravi, Vijayapura, it is the first women’s university in the state and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Accredited by NAAC, the public university offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs across disciplines such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Education, Social Sciences, and Management, with flagship courses including B.Tech, MBA, and specialized programs in agriculture and engineering.
