Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University (KSAWU), formerly known as Karnataka State Women’s University, was established in 2003 by the Government of Karnataka. Located at Jnanashakthi Campus, Athani Road, Toravi, Vijayapura, it is the first women’s university in the state and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
