Kerala University of Fisheries & Ocean Studies (KUFOS), established in 2010, is a specialized government university located at Panangad P.O., Kochi - 682506, Kerala. Founded by the Government of Kerala, this unique institution is India's first fisheries university dedicated exclusively to fisheries science, ocean studies, and aquatic resource management. Spread across a waterfront campus with direct access to marine ecosystems, the university holds approvals from UGC, ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research), and maintains affiliations with national and international marine research organizations. KUFOS is committed to excellence in fisheries education, sustainable aquaculture practices, and ocean conservation through cutting-edge research and innovation.
