About Khongnangthaba University
Khongnangthaba University holds the historic distinction of being the first private university established under the Manipur Private University Act of 2021 (Act No. 6 of 2021, Gazette File No. 2/3/2021/Leg./L, dated 23rd February 2021), a landmark milestone in the expansion of higher education in Northeast India. Ugpgadmission Located at Khurai Konsam Leikai, Imphal East District, Manipur – 795010, approximately 11.4 km from Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, the university is a Private Self-Financed University approved by the Government of Manipur. It is recognised under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, empowering it to confer degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act. Ugpgadmission The university is also registered under the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE), listed on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), and registered as an Academic Institution under the National Academic Depository (NAD) — enabling students to establish their Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) for seamless digital tracking of their academic journey.
