About King Georges Medical University
King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) is one of India’s most prestigious medical institutions. Established in 1905 as King George’s Medical College, it was upgraded to a state medical university in 2002. The university is located at Shahmeena Road, Chowk, Lucknow, with an urban campus of 24.7 acres.
KGMU is recognized by the UGC, accredited with a NAAC A++ grade, and affiliated with regulatory bodies such as the National Medical Commission (NMC), Dental Council of India (DCI), and Indian Nursing Council (INC).
