About Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth

Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth (DBSKKV), Dapoli, Ratnagiri, formerly known as Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, was established on 18 May 1972 as a state agricultural university by the Government of Maharashtra. It was renamed in 2001 in honor of Shri P. K. Sawant, the third Chief Minister of Maharashtra. The university is recognized by the UGC and is a leading center for agricultural education and research in the Konkan region. DBSKKV offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs in Agriculture, Fisheries, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, and allied sciences. Popular courses include B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Tech Agricultural Engineering, MBA (Agri-Business), and Fisheries programs.
